Gordon Opie is retiring at the end of this academic year after 32 years and we have two ways for you to say goodbye to Gordon;
Tim Reeman is organising informal hockey matches:
Typically he does not want a big fuss made of this but we are holding a day to try and provide an opportunity for ex students, parents, former colleagues and staff to mark his retirement. It is on Sunday the 3rd July and the aim is to try and replicate a Monday night hockey format before a barbecue and drinks on the ground above the School AstroTurf. We are aiming to start the very informal hockey games at 3:00pm. No doubt Gordon will divide the available players up in his usual way!
Elodie Gornall - KS 1989-1992 and now current parent:
I'm aware that he has made a difference to a lot of people and, as if are an old Kingswoodian and were a pupil during the time Gordon was at KWS, we are inviting you to send your best wishes via a video message or photo. Rest assured, this will not be shown publicly, but will be given directly to Gordon so that he can watch it on his own.
If you do decide to upload a message, please could you include the name you were known by at school and the dates that you were a student - to help Gordon recognise you!
Finally, if you could submit your message before Mon, Jul 4, 2022 7:23 PM UTC, it would be much appreciated.
