Bournemouth 2024

Afternoon Tea at the Connaught Hotel, W Cliff Road, Bournemouth

Old Kingswoodian Association Bournemouth Lunch

24 April 2024

This was the first Old Kingswoodian lunch held in Bournemouth bringing together members from the central south coast region.

15 Old Kingswoodians including spouses, plus the Headmaster, Zoe and Michele, met at the Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth for “afternoon tea”- a relaxed midday meal of sandwiches, sweets and coffee, which had the great advantage of allowing more opportunity for conversation. After a welcoming prosecco toasting Kingswood, conversation there certainly was, with a genuine ‘buzz’ from those attending, who included periods at the School from 1943 to 2002. After lunch the Headmaster gave us an update on events at the School and kindly took questions; these ranged from progress on the 275th Anniversary cookery school to the current status of chapel services.

Thanks to Michele for organising the event so successfully and to the Headmaster for sparing time in his busy schedule to come and meet us all. We hope to repeat the event in 2025.
