63 years and counting....

A couple of weeks ago, the Kingswood Cross Country team journeyed to Bryanston to take part in the 63rd Ken Bailey races. Against large fields of runners there were some superb efforts, particularly from the younger year groups.

The news of the event led to Old Kingswoodian Vartkess Knadjian getting in touch with the school about his running days at Kingswood. Vartkess recalls that in 1970 and 1971, the KS cross country team won the Ken Bailey race back to back! It is always great to hear these sorts of stories from Old boys and girls of the school. Enclosed below is some newspaper articles and photographs from the race back in Vartkess' day.
