House of Frankenstein is an interactive, multi-sensory museum in Bath, owned by current parent Jonathan Willis. A thriving business, one day last weekend saw 389 visitors through the door and over £6k in revenue. Year-on-year visitor numbers are up 38% and gross revenue is up 42%. In respect to our ambitions, they’re local, national and global.
With the success of the business, House of Frankenstein is planning a new expansion into London, to compete with some of the top entertainment centres in the UK.
Here's a full list of what is being planned:
We intend to build a third in-house Escape Room, since we could sell tickets to the first & second several times over.
Develop a Frankenstein-themed online Escape Room, with global reach, that may prove scalable.
Host an annual Monster Ball and other regional events, with a mission of Bath ‘owning' Halloween in the UK.
Consider planning the development of a themed cafe.
Consider planning the development of a Scare Tour Bus.
Consider planning the development of creepy, themed, ‘ScareBnb’ accommodation.
Expand the range of unique and bespoke products in our shop, with a view to marketing them globally, such as our original Frankenbear.
And, ultimately, we want to take all these elements international, in a similar fashion as with The London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds.
To that effect, we will shortly be engaging in a crowd-fundraising campaign, through an FCA-approved platform, with EIS benefits.
What everyone involved has managed to develop is really, really special. And now it's honed and successful. Moving forward and not resting on our laurels, we need to enhance it even more, gently, deftly, creatively and with unique vision. And then roll that out.
In order to achieve all this, House of Frankenstein is embarking on a Crowdcube fund-raising campaign. If you would like to register, to either invest of simply to follow progress, use this link to get early access to the campaign: https://www.crowdcube.com/early-access/bath-attractions-ltd
