As the Southwest STEM Racing Centre of Excellence, it was a pleasure to welcome the many visiting teams competing for a place in the 2026 National Finals alongside our own six Kingswood teams. Each group set up their pit displays, presented to judging panels about their teamwork, and raced the carefully engineered car down the track the full length of the sports hall.
Old Kingswoodian Bailey Voisin (2016-2021) - now an endurance racer - joined us to support the event, alongside a number of Kingswood parents and contacts who kindly joined the judging panel. We were delighted with the Kingswood results: Impetus Racing were crowned Southwest Professional Class Champions and in the primary category, two KPS teams secured 1st and 3rd place - all earning their place at Nationals.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr Len Turner, former KWS DTE teacher, for coming back to show his support for the team, and to University of Bath Team Bath TBRE – Stephanie Hobeika and crew – for bringing their car and supporting the event.
