Our Sixth Form politics students were treated to a workshop from Mr Cairns after school, exploring all sorts of issues relating to their A level specification. He provided them with a great deal of real world context which will prove invaluable for their written work.
He then had a supper with some interested Year 11 students, who grilled him over a number of UK and global issues.
The main event in the evening saw us host Mr Cairns in the chapel. Expertly chaired by Mr Woodgate and with the aid of a roving mic, we explored all manner of political issue from COP26, to COVID-19, to devolution, all with significant personal insight.
