Noah in Year 12 has this week signed an academy contract with Somerset County Cricket Club. This follows his debut for Somerset 2nd XI earlier in the year and marks a significant moment in Noah’s cricketing development. Academy contracts are awarded to a small number of Somerset’s most promising junior players who the club feel have the potential to progress to the senior squad as professional cricketers. Noah is aware that there is much hard work to do if he is to realise that goal but to have got to this stage is a fantastic achievement and reward for his persistence and dedication over the past few years.
“This is a great news for Noah and much deserved,” said Mr Brown, Head of Boys’ Games “We were so pleased to see how well he acquitted himself in making his debut for the Second XI earlier in the season and that has certainly given him the confidence and the motivation to try and get to the next level.”
